After reading dozens and dozens of reasons why controlling your weight is so hard, it’s natural to wonder how you can overcome the threats. The threats seem overwhelming and inescapable.

Take heart, there is a way to defeat almost every threat. The ways of defeating
threats are called strategies
. A strategy is a counter move to one or more threats. If you have a problem controlling your portions, there are strategies for helping you learn portion control. If you naturally move less, there are strategies for helping you naturally move more. You will be able to find a way to control your weight.

Below is a list of all the strategies in the book and all the strategies that have been added since the book was published. The first few strategies have their complete text. The rest of the strategies just have each strategies' short summary line. You can get the full list and the full text for all the strategies by going to Your Designer Diet.

We'll be using the strategies when we run weekly spins and daily checks in the discussion forum. To learn how the strategies are used please take a look at the sample chapters, in particular read The Designer Way chapter.
